Only MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) that are registered with the UDYAM portal of the Ministry of MSME are eligible to apply for ZED certification and enjoy its related benefits and incentives.
As of now, the scheme applies to manufacturing MSMEs only. While inclusion of service-sector MSMEs is planned in a later phase, it is not yet applicable.
Unregistered MSMEs are not eligible.
In short, you must be a manufacturing MSME registered via Udyam to qualify.

Assessment and & Certification
Based on your selected level, the MSME undergoes an assessment (desktop, remote, or onsite). If non-conformities are found, you'll have a chance to rectify them. Final certification is issued upon compliance
